Starting Jan. 15th, 2025, Star Rail’s big update 3.0 has gone online and unlocked a new region for fervent players waiting for months. The fifth Region/Map—Amphoreus’ story unfolds with anomalies that happened on the Character March 7 and the Astral Express’s navigation perturbation in a mysterious way, and the planet Amphoreus is a hidden place in dark matters. It can be only accessed with the assistance of remembrance’s power.
The main Trailblazer mission so far on this planet can be finished within 10 hours as I’ve personally testified and Hoyoverse announced there would be more ongoing related quests in the future months, but based on its content size, this world’s story arc is relatively shorter than its previous four regions including Herta SpaceStation, Javio-Belobog, Luofu Xianzhou, Penacony storylines.

Amphoreus is a hidden, unknown world that was off the chart of interstellar travelers and beyond the universal common knowledge. It’s a planet the God of Trailblazer Akivili has never set foot on and Aliens are not commonly welcomed on this land. The protagonist’s Astral segment served as a safe haven was attacked by an unknown local entity and crashed losing signal to the Astral Express.
Art Style
Amphoreus, a glossary from Greek Myth, meaning “The belly button of the earth”, it’s also selected by God Zeus to name the ‘center of the world’. This place stands for Eternity, civilization, intellectualism, and remembrance.
The architecture style in this world blends the ancient Mediterranean culture with maritime civilization in ancient Europe: delicate columns, corridors, and domes, resonate us with the touch of a breeze in the Aegean Sea.
The classic spots are the trade market and bathhouse in the city of Okhema. The bathhouse in Greek culture is not only a place to take a Sauna bath, but also an occasion for socialization, meeting new people, and praying to the ocean Goddess.
History and Lores
The main mission of the entire story arc is to collect the 12 missing coreflames of the world-founding 12 titans though taking various quests, meeting new characters and unlocking new battles in new regions and cities. Every time you find a Titan after battling though his challenges, riddles and crucibles, you get a coreflame to light up the corresponding star in the Vortex of Genesis.
In the beginning, the world was pure chaos until the gods cast down the twelve Coreflames, 12 titans were born. Three Titans carved the heaven and earth, three wove the threads of fate, three molded life with their hands, and three guided calamity’s gates. Civilization thrived under their guidance until the “heretical black tide” came from beyond the sky. It drove the Titans to madness and the humans to civil war, and thus the world entered a dark, degeneration age. Divination foretells that the ‘Gold Blood Heir’ will pluck the gods’ core-flames and resume the world to a normal state. And this is where the Trailblazers start to meddle in the internal affairs of Amphoreus and make friends with the Gold Blood heirs during their adventures.
Star Rail also creates a heroes-book by guiding players to retrace and retell the stories of the Gold Blood Heirs in Amphorues by writing their legend into a binding book each time we finish a hero’s chapter. It’s very poetic and nourishing to see the stories retold via voice-acting and soundtracks, similar to the Hotel Passport of Penocony where you can collect the stickers of characters and make it a fun traveling memoir.
